The​ ​Michigan​ ​Organization​ ​on​ ​Adolescent​ ​Sexual​ ​Health​ ​(MOASH)​ ​supports​ ​the​ ​implementation​ ​of​ ​medically accurate,​ ​evidence-informed,​ ​age-appropriate,​ ​and​ ​comprehensive​ ​sexual​ ​health​ ​education​ ​in​ ​schools​ ​that​ ​is inclusive​ ​and​ ​affirming​ ​of​ ​all​ ​sexual​ ​identities.​ ​Youth​ ​have​ ​the​ ​right​ ​to​ ​accurate​ ​and​ ​complete​ ​information​ ​in order​ ​to​ ​be​ ​able​ ​to​ ​make​ ​informed​ ​decisions​ ​about​ ​their​ ​own​ ​sexual​ ​and​ ​reproductive​ ​health.​ ​MOASH​ ​believes sexual​ ​health​ ​education​ ​starts​ ​at​ ​birth​ ​and​ ​is​ ​a​ ​lifelong​ ​learning​ ​process​ ​that​ ​respects​ ​cultural​ ​norms,​ ​values, and​ ​beliefs.

Michigan Coalition on Adolescent Sexual Health

MiCASH is a statewide group of professionals from a variety of different fields concerned about adolescent sexual health, including HIV/AIDS, STDs, family planning, domestic and sexual violence, youth development, LGBTQ+ youth, and other related issues. MiCASH members meet several times a year in various locations around the state, with meetings hosted by MOASH. The mission of MiCASH is to share information, network, collaborate, and support continuous learning that ultimately empowers youth with knowledge and skills to make informed decisions impacting their sexual health and relationships.
