Michigan Youth (MY) VoiceMOASH coordinates MY Voice, a youth advisory council of young people ages 16-21 from around the state who provide youth perspective on curricula, brochures, websites and clinical spaces that provide teens with sexual health education and services. MY Voice exists to inform the services, programs and materials created for youth by MOASH and other community partners. In addition, MY Voice members are involved in various presentations, panels, and youth advocacy efforts throughout the year and use their experiences to improve services for youth across the state.

Michigan Youth Advisory Council on HIV/AIDSThe Michigan Youth Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS (YACHA), a project of MOASH and Wellness Services, Inc, is a youth-driven leadership and advocacy group for young people living with HIV/AIDS and their allies. Council members participate in and facilitate workshops/trainings and plan events focused on HIV awareness/prevention, inclusive and affirming sexual health education, policy reform, mental health, suicide prevention, and more. Essentially, members will inform local, regional, and statewide HIV resources, programming, and policies that impact young people living with HIV.

Michigan Coalition on Adolescent Sexual Health (MiCASH)
MiCASH is a statewide group of professionals from a variety of different fields concerned about adolescent sexual health, including HIV/AIDS, STDs, family planning, domestic and sexual violence, youth development, LGBTQ+ youth, and other related issues. MiCASH members meet several times a year in various locations around the state, with meetings hosted by MOASH. The mission of MiCASH is to share information, network, collaborate, and support continuous learning that ultimately empowers youth with knowledge and skills to make informed decisions impacting their sexual health and relationships.
Michigan Youth (MY) RightsMichigan Youth Rights (MY Rights) is a project coordinated by MOASH and was initially funded (FY 2015) by the National Institute for Reproductive Health (NIRH). The MY Rights website was developed as part of the project in an effort to provide minors with accurate and accessible information to better understand their rights related to access to abortion services and the judicial bypass process.

Well Women, Well CommunitiesMOASH, members of the Michigan Coalition on Adolescent Sexual Health (MiCASH), and the Washtenaw County Health Department comprise one of fourth national teams on the CityMatCH "Well Women, Well Communities" project. This collaborative project seeks to understand and reduce challenges for female-identified people in accessing reproductive and preventative health care. The focus is on systemic change - understanding structural barriers that women face and transforming communities to better support the long-term health of all its citizens.

Michigan Youth (MY) Consent Culture
MY Consent Culture is a new program that works to shift the culture and climate around consent in Michigan K-12 schools. This program aims to impact across state, regional, district, building, and classroom levels through (1) running a Michigan Youth Girls Advisory Board, (2) coordinating a statewide sexual violence prevention team, (3) providing training, technical assistance, and support to health coordinators and sex educators around issues of consent and sexual violence, and (4) engaging in advocacy efforts at all levels.
Michigan Youth (MY) Consent DayMichigan Youth (MY) Consent Day is an initiative launched in 2014 to aid young people in understanding the difference between consent and nonconsent. Its primary goal is to provide them with resources to empower themselves to know their rights, communicate about consent, and engage in healthy relationships.

Michigan Adolescent Pregnancy and Parenting Program (MI-APPP)MOASH is subcontracted through the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to provide two learning collaboratives per year for five MI-APPP grantee agencies, as well as develop a public awareness campaign about the needs of expectant and parenting youth. MI-APPP is funded by the Pregnancy Assistance Fund (PAF) and works to improve the educational, health, and social outcomes for expectant and parenting teens, fathers, and families in high need communities in Michigan.

Step Toward Equity Program (STEP)MOASH partners with Racquet Up Detroit, Advocates for Youth, Michigan Public Health Institute, the University of Michigan School of Public Health, and the Detroit Community Health Center to design and implement a sexual health education and health service access program, designed to address the social determinants of adolescent sexual health among African American youth ages 10-19 in Detroit.

Detroit Adolescent Sexual Health Educational Support (DASHES)
MOASH received funding from the National Institute for Reproductive Health (NIRH) for their Detroit Adolescent Sexual Health Educational Support (DASHES) project. The program objectives are to work with the Detroit Public School Community District to build capacity with the local sex education advisory board in order to expand quality sex education programming in Detroit.
Power Sex Education Advisory Boards (SEABs)
MOASH has been awarded a grant from United Way of Washtenaw County to pilot the Power SEABs project. MOASH is working alongside school districts in Washtenaw County to develop and build the capacity of informed and coordinated sex ed advisory boards (SEABs) to address adolescent sexual health needs in these communities. We are looking for opportunities to expand the Power SEABs project in other counties across the state.
Taking Pride in Prevention (TPIP)Taking Pride in Prevention (TPIP) is Michigan’s federally-funded, Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP) unintended teen pregnancy prevention initiative. MOASH is subcontracted through the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to provide training for twelve TPIP grantee agencies.

Building a Movement for Michigan (BAMM) Pride: An LGBTQIA+ Youth SummitIn 2014, MOASH was awarded a three-year federal grant through the Mobilization for Health: National Prevention Partnership Awards (NPPA) from the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH) for the Building a Movement for Gender and Sexuality Alliances (BAMM GSAs) program! This project brought together stakeholders across Michigan to improve the social and health outcomes of LGBTQIA+ youth by increasing the number, and improving the capacity, of GSAs in our state. While the grant term has ended, MOASH continues to host an annual BAMM Pride Summit for LGBTQIA+ youth with the generous sponsorship of Grand Valley State University.

Washtenaw County Community Conversations (WC3)
MOASH is working alongside the Michigan Department of Education, the Neutral Zone, the University of Michigan Spectrum Center, and Springmatter to implement the Washtenaw County Community Conversations (WC3) program. Among other objectives, the program seeks to develop and implement community workshops in each of the nine Washtenaw County school districts in order to raise awareness of the needs of LGBTQ+ students. The goal of these workshops is to increase sexual orientation and gender identity awareness, knowledge, and allyship skills among community members.
Transgender Task Force
The Livingston and Washtenaw Counties Transgender Task Force works to ensure that all schools in Livingston and Washtenaw County school districts are safe, supportive, and affirming environments for all students by developing and promoting gender inclusive practices and policies and by providing best practice guidance and other resources to educators and students in those schools.
