MY Voice members meet once a month on Saturdays or Sundays during the school year. Throughout the season, members are trained on a variety of sexual health topics, leadership development, communication skills and advocacy. The group develops their own goals and objectives for the year. There is not a lot of work required of members between meetings, but a commitment to the group is necessary in order to accomplish the goals they set for themselves.

Members must be between the ages of 16-21, willing to commit to attending monthly meetings on weekends, and interested in making a difference in teen sexual health.

Applications will be available shortly. Email Alex at alex.cicalese@moash.org for further information.

“In Michigan, and across this nation for that matter, I believe it is important to generate peer-to-peer dialog regarding adolescent sexual health. We don’t need to hear what is ‘right and wrong’ from the adults. We need to talk to one another about the choices we make, and how we can help each other make more positive choices. I think MY Voice is a great channel to facilitate the beginnings of this dialogue.”  – MY Voice member
